Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

What kind of sentence is my son facing?

My son was arrested for a first offense of forgery. The total of the checks is $313.00. We are willing to pay the money back. He is 16 years old. The arrained him and he is in the county jail with a $10,000 cash bail or $20,000.00 bond. Please tell me what we will be hearing as far as sentincing when we go to court tomorrow night. He was arrested 3 days ago. We have never been in this situation before and don't know what to expect.
