Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Legality of so called Sexual Therapy and Tantric Massage

There is a business operating in my neighborhood that claims to offer instruction in tantra and sexual therapy. Apparently the tantric massage, which seems to be the core of their business includes the massaging of the clients genitals. They don't charge for the session however they do ask for donations. Is this a legal business?

Re: Legality of so called Sexual Therapy and Tantric Massage

This is a criminal law question and the answer is definitely: this is a crime. It is possible the district attorney will choose not to prosecute because of claims it is 'physical therapy'.

I recommend you get 50 or more signatures on a petition and then have your city councilman or state senator bring it to the DA's office. That will increase the probability that the DA will act.
