Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Litigation now in 7th year. Lawyer was found guilty of dishonest and "nefarious" conduct. He was disbarred directly due to his his actions surrounding our case. His wife now represents him, to prove his innocents. Judge excused himself from case just a week from a jury trial to agree on monetary damages. Now awaiting appointment of a new judge whom the lawyer in question will accept as "fit". Our lawyer states even if the jury trail is completed and an amount of money damages concluded the lawyer will appeal. My question : this lawyer was proven guilty yet has appealed every decision of the New York State counts in the last 6 years. Our lawyer also stated should the appeal be denied and he must pay damages we may have to bring litigation against him again to prove he has "hidden" all his assets. I have asked for help from the Lawyer's Fund for Client Protection and The Ethics committee. I plan to write congressmen and the governor, assembly men till someone can help me put an end to this. The case can be reviewed at www.caselaw.findlaw.com, Fredrick Neroni. Sincerely, Patricia Knapp

I'm not totally sure what your question is, but he does have a right to appeal a judgment if he has grounds to appeal. If there are hidden assets, he would still have a judgment against him which can be collected, but it may not be easy to do so. Your lawyer seems to be correct in his assessment of the situation.
