Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I live in the state of NY, I had a felony conviction in 1964 which is 46 years ago,
since then the only thing on my record is a parking ticket. is there there a way I can legally
own a firearm not to carry but to keep in my home.

You can request, from the court, a Certificate of Relief from Civil Disabilities. This is from the Criminal Procedure Law. You can make the request yourself but I recommend an attorney to assist you.

I don.t think a certificate of relief from disabilities will help you. Apply for a pardon.
