Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I live in New York State in the syracuse area, and I am trying to renew my city taxi license with syracuse and on the application it asks if I was ever charged with criminal charges.
And on my sherriffs background check there is one thing I am wondering if I should put the information to answer the question with.
The charge is: PL 22003 00 MISD

My understanding is that they are not allowed to ask about criminal charges, only criminal convictions. You do not say if you were convicted or not. If never convicted, indicate no criminal convictions.
