Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Loitering 1st Degree
Was arrested for Loitering in 1st Degree. Other person in vehicle had marijuana on them. Have to appear in court in February, Suffolk County, NY. What are chances of getting this reduced. i realize it is a misdemeanor, class B.

The crime is a B misdemeanor, and while you don't necessarily NEED a lawyer there is a very likely chance that retaining one would give you a much greater possibility of having the case dismissed or reaching a more favorable and reduced plea than if you went to court on your own. This area of law is our specialty, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination.
