Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
IN March of 1973, I was arrested and charged with assault with a motor vehicle. I now need the disposition of the case. I vaguely remember that horror show. A teachers strike was going on and I was a young teacher in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now I need a copy of the records (the records were expunged and my union even picked up the legal costs). The City Clerk is saying I need a gallery number from the State Police. I have scoured the New Jersey State Police site and have found nothing that mentions gallery numbers. What is meant by a gallery number? How do I get it-from 1973?
