Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

To someone who can help me,

A few days ago, my sublease landlord (who does not have a sublease contract with me and my wife) accused me for 3rd degree assault. But I am completely innocent. I never assaulted or intended to assault her. I am a lawful citizen, who does not have any criminal record (not even a speeding ticket). And this was the first time that I got arrested. I have a 13 days newborn baby and a loving wife. Landlord basically framed me and forced us out, simply because we had a baby. I made the first 911 call and told the 911 operator and police that the landlord was harassing us and forcing us out. 2 minutes after the police left, she claimed that I assaulted her by pouncing her chest. Again, I never touched her. And the police arrested me.

I want to know what should I do with my case and what options I have. How can I prove myself to be innocent? I do not want to have a criminal record for something I never did. I was already detained in the courthouse for over 24 hours without seeing my wife and newborn son. If someone who can help me, please contact me. My next hearing is March 7, 2011. Thank you very much!

Best regards,

Ryan

Fight the case and then sue her for false arrest.
