Minor dispute blown out of hand

I was agrueing with my live-in boyfriend about the keys. As we were both pulling over the keys, my finger broke. From all the screaming and then the crying my neighbor called the police. When they got there yes i was very pissed off, and told them they could take him outside. bI figured this would give both of us a chance to blow off some steam. However they let him back in and when they did he started screaming again , so i started screaming over my finger. At one point i screamed out-- You broke my finger. After that , the police immediately started toward him. he was arrested and has been locked up now a month. I have refused to sign anything and made no report. However they keep adjourning the case and sending me order of protections implimented by the DA. They are charging him with Assualt 3. I just miss him very much. I have been in many voilent relationships. This is not one and i feel so bad becuase i know it is unfair to him. I am a big drama queen ( not top mention i have really bad anxiety attacks), so i feel i just blow the situation way out of hand. What can i do?? How can they keep putting this order protection? He's locked up and needs my support... Please Help.

Re: Minor dispute blown out of hand

the only option to help would perhaps be to think about hiring him a private lawyer, if what you are saying now is all that happened then there may be some options to get him out and finish the case soon.

If you'd like to further discuss the case feel free to contact my office for a consultation.

The prosecution may be able to go forward without you depending on the evidence they have and any statements he may have made. The best option is to make sure that he has a good attorney. Please contact my office if we can be of any assistance in this matter.
