Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Misdemeanor droped to a lesser charge
In 2001. I plead guily to petit larceny and had to serve 3 years on probation and pay restituion. I am wondering if I am able to have my misdemeanor charge dropped to a violation, or did I forgo this opportunity because I took a plea bargain. I say this because I want to apply to graduate school and criminal background is apart of the application process.
