Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
i had misdemeanor in nyc and after doing 2 days community service case was dismissed and sealed, now after 10 years I went to get full report of my case, court clerk told me that misdemeanor case that is dismissed and sealed we destroy all papers after 6 years. is it really destroyed ? what if federal govt wants to see those detailed case papers?

It is not a guarantee that it is actually sealed. You can check your record to see if it shows up. This will prove that it was actually sealed. Also, if the court dismisses the case and seals it, then it should be destroyed immediately, not after 6 years.
In a perfect world the Federal Gov't is not allowed to see sealed cases.
