Can I get a misdemeanor petty larceny ( first and only offense) expunged from my record in the state of New York?

The simple answer is no. New York State does not have a sealing or expungment statute except for the modification under the Rockerfeller Drug Laws. Your record is yours for the rest of your life unless you get a Gubernatorial Pardon.
