if a person charged with a class A misdemeanor on 2 accounts of a sex crime in new york, what is the max punishment that person can get ?

Generally all misdemeanors, by definition, are crimes punishable by up to one year incarceration. A Level A, being the highest level, is punishable by this maximum potential one year incarceration..

The person is facing up to two years in a local jail, a fine of up to 2000 Dollars and civil penalties, as well as facing a SORA finding which could follow him for 20 years.
