Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
If a mom leaves her toddler in the house all by herself with the oven on, and the toddler burns to death because of the oven, is that considered murder? Because in order for it to be murder I thought there had to be some kind of malicious content to kill, which the mother didnt have.

It could be considered "Depraved Indifference" murder under your set of facts or at least Manslaughter.
