Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I had taken money from my job.the boss knew that the money was missing and had asked everyone if they had taken it and if so please put it back in the register at the end of the day I did that and then as I was going home I realized I had 300 more dollars in my pocketbook. I was going to give it to her the next morning and come forward because I knew she didn't want me working there. When I got to work this morning, I told my boss it was me and returned the rest of the money. Her husband called the cops on me, and I was arrested and bailed with 200$..I am 17 years old..No priors and they received all of their money back.

The district attorney will still pursue criminal charges against you even though you returned the money, but the store owner has little if any incentive to testify against you. A strong and aggressive legal defense may allow you to avoid getting stuck with a criminal record. Whether you're charged with petit larceny or larceny in the third degree, you still need a criminal defense lawyer.
