Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
on November 1, 2011 around midnight in front of a residences on 57th street between 11th and 12th, there was an incident with my sister and an officer. The officer had arrived and mistreated her and myself along with some friends. They had pushed her to the ground and hurt her as they proceeded to arrest her. However, they are indicating that she hit them and that is why they used such force with her. She was arrested and had to spend the night in jail for what they claim was assault towards the officers. She was released on bail and has a court date for January 6, 2012. We have proceeded with a complaint against these officers and I was hoping that you can assist me with this matter. This is the first time that she has been arrested for anything she had a ticket for urinating in public when she was seventeen and never paid the summons she is now twenty-three years old. I just need to know what do you think may happen in court on Friday, January 6, 2012�
