Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

NYPD raided my bar.

We got raided by NYPD a few days ago, got 2 summonses one for “Failure to check the ID” and “Serving to minors”. When we asked to show us the minor who got served at our bar they did not, so we assume it was undercover, if there was one at all. We do have a person at the door to check IDs. Only customers with stamped hands get server alcohol at our bar. I checked the surveillance cameras, did not see any suspicious customers or customers that buy drinks, but do not drink them. Now we have to appear for court. Any one had similar experience? Any advice is appreciated.

Depending on the circumstances, these summonses can often be defeated and or dismissed or often pled down to a much less severe charge that would have little or no impact on your establishment and or your liquor license this area of law does happen to be one of our specialties, and we do represent many bars, restaurants lounges and clubs in and around NYC, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination. Re: NYPD raided my bar.

I represent many establishments with similar problems. You seem to have a good grasp of the situation, I presume it was an undercover cop who made the purchase. A great many of these cases get plead down with some fine imposed. I would need more information to further assist you,so please contact my office and leave your phone # I will have a phone consultation with you without cost.
