Open Alcohol container in public
I received a summons for having an open alcohol container in public. The court date is July 23. I will be away that date. Is there any way to not appear in court and just pay the fine?

You may also prepare an affidavit pleading guilty and send a friend to court with it, along with $50. The court will probably allow a plea in this manner.

Call the court clerk. Because it is only
a violation, many will permit the entry
of a guilty plea by mail and then the
payment of a fine by money order
If not, they should also adjourn the
case until you are back so you may do
the same thing in person
