Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Open Container Summons (10-125B)
I received a summons for drinking in a public place (sec. 10-125 sub. B) and was wondering if it would be a good idea to plead guilty by mail and send the $25 check. Would this have any negative affect on any personal records of mine? Also, do the courts send any kind of confirmation mail back to my home address? It should be noted that I am underage. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

I believe I responded to your other similar inquiry. That being so please refer to that answer. If not this violation is a violation not a crime and the long-range consequences are minimal.
