Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
order of protection
I have an order of protection against someone because they physically attacked me. The charge was reduced to 2nd degree harassment. This person violated the order by emailing me twice and calling me once. I had this person arrested. What I want to know is.. is this violation a felony or a misdemeanor. Thank you

Re: order of protection
Most likely it is a misdemeanor, but depending on the nature of the emails/ phone call it could technically be a felony.
