Re: Order of Protection volation

Depending on the nature of the violation of the Order of Protection (O.P.) the crime may be charged as an A-Misdemeanor (Penal Law 215.50), an E-Felony (Penal Law 215.51) or a D-Felony (Penal Law 215.52).

The maximum jail term on an A Misd is 1 year, on an E Fel is 4 yrs and on a D Felony is 7 years. Bottom line . . . contact an attorney.
