Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

parole and marriage

My husband and i have been having problems in our marriage and he is on parole. We had a huge blow out fight and i called parole and told them everything but now they do not want us together. Is there any way that we could live together again why he's on parole even though we had harrassment charges on him? Can NYS really keep a married couple apart? If there is any way around it please let me know what to do.

Re: parole and marriage

They can and do it all the time. Good lesson to learn. The three biggest lies of all times:

1. The check is in the Mail;

2. I will respect you in the morning;

3. I am from the government I am here to help.

You will have to seek out an attorney and probably seek an article 78 hearing or even bring a federal civil rights case to push them off.

Next time, go see a lawyer, Cops only know how to make arrests. If that is not what you want, don't call them.

Good luck.
