parole and marriage
can a person on parole get violated for marring a person with a criminal record and can they stop you once you are married?

What do the terms for your parole state? More importantly, what does your PO say, and why? The point is, you don't want to go through the exercise of being violated even if you are right, but your PO is of a different belief. When you know exactly why they are threatening to violate you (e.g., cavorting with known criminals) an attorney will know if, and how, to respond or what to advise you to do. Marriage to a criminal does not remove the taint associated with his/her known, established criminal conduct.
