parole release

i was sentenced to 1and a third to four years in nys prison. i did the minimum and made my parole boad. i have been on supervision for 14 months. i was recently denied early release from parole. my record is as i have 3 dwi's and a vehicular assault charge. i went to prison for felony dwi and 1st degree vehicular assault. it was my first time going to prison or jail. i did not get in any trouble in prison. since my release 14 months ago i have gotten in ZERO trouble. i completed alcohol counseling. i went to trade school and i got a great job and am currently in a union with a secure career. is there anything i can do to get off of parole before my maximum date witch is august 2010???

This all depends on what procedure was used in your request for early

Release. If you hired an attorney and made the request through motion,

and were still denied there's not much else to do, if not then feel free

It sounds as if you have not been in court or had the advice of an attorney in this matter.

Many times an attorney can act as a mediator between parole and the you.

You can always bring an article 78 proceeding, but it is better first to be conciliatory.
