Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
i passed a train turnstile without paying. i got a summons the code was 140.05 what will the judge say?

I need to know where the summons is returnable before answering. I presume is is issued for criminal court, if this is so ,the judge will consider the specific allegations as well as your record . You may be offered an ACD, which you should take or a Violation, which is a non criminal offense. If you are offered a plea to a misdemeanor, turn it down and ask for a lawyer.
