Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Penalty in NY State for Negligent Homicide

I have just started to date an attorney from CT and I looked his name up. Found that someone with his exact name was suspended from the bar because he was convicted of Negligent Homicide for killing his passenger while drunk driving on a suspended liscence. Does this carry jail time? I am trying to figure out if this could be him without having to confront him on it. It happened in NY state. The year after this person was convicted, my friend was practicing law in Connecticut. Is it possible it could be him if he has a felony?

Re: Penalty in NY State for Negligent Homicide

'negligent homicide' does not bear on truthfulness and conviction would not include a lifetime ban from the practice of law.

Does he still drink? If so, he may not be a reliable and constructive boyfriend.
