How can a person be charged with burglary 2nd when they never entered the dwelling but the co defendant did

It is known as "acting in concert". For example a getaway car driver is equally guilty as the person who enters a building for a burglary, but only if it was his intent to aid the burglar. If he did not know of the other person's intent to burglarize, he is not guilty.
