Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
If a person has a Order of Protection and the defendant is avoiding them at all costs but lives in the same building and the victim speaks to them in a harassing manor, what is supposed to be done?

Well the prudent thing to do is ignore them. It is odd that a protection order was granted when you lived so closely to the plaintiff, however, you are the one in trouble if it is violated so make sure that it isn't.
