Re: personal property left elsewhere
The law on personal property left in another persons possession is complicated at the same time being straight forward.
The person who has the property of another whom they know left the property has a duty to secure the property and return it to them as soon as possible but when then do not know the owner they do have a temporary duty to secure the property to return it but only for a limited time and then it is deemed abandonded and becomes the property of the possessor.
