Petit Larceny

I'm an minor at the age of 16 years old. I have been accused of Petit Larceny in the state of new york. i am wondering what kind of fines i will receive and if i will have an criminal record. i have an clean record, with no fines whatsoever in the past. thank you for your time and patience.

the likelihood is that you will be offered a violation and a small fine, at most a couple hundred dollars... this all depends on many factors, if it is a first arrest? if there was no violence? what the circumstances of the crime were? and also how such current similar cases are being handled.

I would not suggest hiring an attorney, if you qualify for legal aid... the likelihood is that any ttorney worth their weight in salt will be able to do as good a job as any other on such a case...
