Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Petit Larceny - Prior ACD

Ill try to keep it as simple as possible:

23 yr old, Got caught for shoplifting ($20) at a Stop&Shop.

Walked out of store, tried running, guy held me, and i resisted, and he threw me down [Is it legal for him to follow me outside of the doors into the parking lot? My neck is hurt what can I do about injury, if i already signed a no-injury claim in jail....but it hurt the day after?]

Got arrested, wasnt charged for robbery, just petit larceny, posted bail ($200), got appearance ticket.

2 yrs ago i was caught, got an attorney, and was released with an ACD, fines, and stoplift class. [Can I receive another ACD? Can i get that without an attorney? (money is real tight lately)...and if I do pursue it by myself without representation, and it fails, can I make a claim that I was misrepresented and demand another review of my case?]

Thank You for your time and attention, speediness of response is greatly needed. Thanks again.

Re: Petit Larceny - Prior ACD

In most counties an ACD is a one time deal, it is treated as a second chance... And sentencing becomes stricter thereafter. If you are able to afford an attorney I would suggest you hire one.
