Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Petit Larceny
My 16 year old daughter was just
charged with petit larceny for
allegedly stealing a cell phone. The
sheriff stated that I have to take her
for fingerprints & photos. What do I
do? She swears she didn't take
phone and is willing to take a lie
detector test to prove it! They gave
her an appearance ticket for 7/21/08

If you decide to fight these charges, you should begin gathering your evidence, such as witnesses who will testify regarding the complaining person's credibility, and all other evidence that will help you.
