Re: Help

It appears that you pled guilty to PL 215.50 (criminal contempt in the second degree) - a class "A" misdemeanor. This is a criminal conviction and will stay on your record as a criminal conviction. The fact that you were sentenced to and subsequently completed a term of a conditional discharge and community service, will not expunge the conviction from your record.

Re: Help

Yes, a misdemeanor will (theoretically) be on your criminal record for life. It is a "crime", just as a felony is a crime.

The only way to remove it from your record is to go to the court where you were convicted and get an application for relief from disabilities. Fill it out; you may get your record expunged if you have the grounds for it.
