Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
pink summon
i received a pink summon for urinating in NY Queens, and i live in CA. I miss the court date and i have warrant now. is there any way i can handle this matter without personally going to the court?

Probably. It depends on which court the ticket is returnable to. If its a criminal court ticket, most judges would let an attorney vacate the warrant immediatley and resolve the case either with a dismissal now or in 6 months. If its a C-summons returnable at 346 Broadway, that is a revenue court (mostly collects fine). There is still a chance the court would allow an attorney to clear it up for you but there might be a fine.
