Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Playing poker in n.Y.C.
Please, tell me if it is legal to play poker in a tavern? This would be a customers only game and the tavern would not cut the pot or receive any other type payment from the game itself. The stakes would be in the 1-2 range.

No, gambling is illegal, even in your own home.
