Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
If the police need some one for questioning,does the person have to provide them with any statement?

The basic answer is no. Unless you are supoenaed you do not have to answer questions. You should ,if requested to ,appear with an attorney. That attorney ,if competent, will negotiate immunity for you should you choose to cooperate.
