Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I am currently on probation in Suffolk County NY and need to move to Nassau County, NY to live with family due to financial difficulties. How do I go about making this transition with the Probation Dept. I just got a job in Suffolk, but can't afford a place of my own right now and don't have family in Suffolk and need to live with family in Nassau.

You should discuss this with your probation officer. If the officer does not agree to the transfer, an application has to be made to the sentencing judge. You should consult with an attorney to assist you if probation does not agree.
