Re: Question about felonys

Felonies in the state of NY are broken into 5 major catagories, A-E. A felonies are further broken down into A1 Felonies and A2 Felonies.

Felonies are also subdivided by Violent v. Non-violent felonies.

Without going into more of an explination, it sounds like the question you're asking is you read on a court calendar that some one was charged with a CF what that means is he is charged with a "C" level Felony. The F means nothing and is not a severity level.

A person charged with a "C" Felony faces up to 15 years in prison. IF he is further charged with a violent felony he faces a mandatory minimum sentence. If he is charged with a non-violent Felony, he is eligible for probation or even unsupervised probation.

If you or a loved one needs help with a felony, I would be willing to speak to you about it. Just contact me by sending me an e-mail thru the links below or call me at 516*741*3400.

Good Luck
