Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Your question: "Hi,

I am a Pennsylvania resident. I was doing some spring cleaning and decided to sell some disassembled rifle magazines that I have no need for. I was contacted online by someone in New York that wanted to buy them. I told him that he needed to check his local laws. He said it was legal and sent payment. I shipped the products and found out 2 days later that 30 round magazines are illegal in NY (even disassembled ones). What should I do?

If you have already shipped them, there is not much that you can do. Is the person in possession of them now? Next time be certain of the law before shipping fire arms across stated lines.
