Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I was questioned on grand larceny in ny and relesed due to lack of evidence. 4 months later i moved from ny to california and 1 week after leaving a warrent was issued. What is the likely hood of extradition if the amount was 10k or less and this is a first offense. What can you tell me about any of this? Is there a time frame i have to be caught in. Can this eventually go away. Please help. Thank you

They may not go looking for you in California but if you are arrested for anything, the warrant will show up and you probably will be extradited. Since you are out of State, no Statute of Limitations applies.
Your best option is to have an attorney attempt to resolve this with the DA's office in your absence. Let me know if my office can be of assistance.
Good luck!
