Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Racial Slurs and threats over phone and email

I recently met a tenant to show him my apartment. After some back and forth I was hesitant to give it to him because he had two dogs. He later decided he didn't want the apartment because he felt angry that I said he wasn't my ''ideal'' tenant and started lecturing me on my personal character flaws. I responded in like manner. He then went on a rampage sending me threatening emails and phone calls with racial slurs. Do I have any recourse at all? This guy is apparently very unstable and I worry what he is capable of. I do have his full employment information as well as the emails and voicemails he has left me which include the threats and racial slurs.

Thanks.

go to the cops. have him charged with aggravated harassment. if he is charged, the judge will issue a temporary order of protection at his arraignment, ordering him not to contact you and to stay away from you. for more legal info and court forms go to
