raped when i was 4 years old.

I was raped by a man when I was 4 years old my mom was mentally handicaped and we moved from NY, I just now found the guy that did that to me but now im 23,can I still charge him with rape?

Probably not. You will need to determine the statute of limitations for both civil and criminal actions. The civil statute has probably run a long time ago, but it is possible that the criminal statute has not yet run if this is deemed a capital offense (as it would be in Florida).

However, even if you can pursue this, there is not guarantee that the State Attorney will file charges. In a case that is so old, without any physical proof, often times cases such as this are not filed. But, sometimes they are.
