Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
i was recently accused of a sex crime against a child. i have been investigated by the police and
child protective services. the police don't believe the statement to be true. and i never heard from them
again. its been two months now. but i recieved a letter in the mail from child protective services. they state that they find in favor of the child. and i have been put on the state dated base for sexual miscondut of a child. i have a right to appeal this decission within 90 days. but i can't afford a lawyer to defend my rights. because i don't understand how the police can they don't believe the story to be true. but yet cps says it is. and file on me. thank you
