Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I recieved a felony drug charge in 1999. It was under the 74-11 provision--I completed the probation no problems. Never been in trouble other than this (the drugs were the passenger's which was obivious b/c he was high, not me--nor did I ever do the narcotic,, but the law did not see it that way, it was thrown onto my side of the car). The question is is the 74-11 equal to expungement or should i still expunge my record? I have been working out of MI and even in government jobs, but plan to return to MI, can employers see something different in MI that out of state employers can't???

Please understand, under New York State Law there is no expungement. Your record is your record. The only way to get your situation into a better direction is to use the new law to close and seal your record for all but governmental reasons.
