Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
I recieved a subpoena in the mail for my daughter to appear in court as a witness in a case, she is a minor. which would mean I would have to drive 400 miles one way for her to appear. Do I have any legal standing not to go.

Maybe. More facts are needed. Maybe not, in which case not appearing would be child neglect. Ask a lawyer or put all of the facts up for evaluation.
