reckless endangerment

would someone setting off explosives in a warehouse, knowing that a homeless man stays there at night, constiute a charge of recless endangerment?

It will definitely fit the bill for some level of reckless endangerment and also may fit into a few other sections of the penal law . . . Criminal Mischief, Arson, etc.

It's probably good enough for 1st degree reckless endangerment, which is a D felony:

NY Penal Law �120.25 Reckless Endangerment In The First Degree

A person is guilty of reckless endangerment in the first degree when, under circumstances evincing a depraved indifference to human life, he recklessly engages in conduct which creates a grave risk of death to another person.
