Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
restoring my rights or citizenship
I was convicted of a class d felony in NY state 15 years ago.. I would like to be able to vote again but Im told my rights of citizenship must be restored. How do I do that?

You need to file an application. The application is for a CERTIFICATE FOR RELIEF FROM DISABILITIES. This application is available from the court clerk in the courthouse where you were convicted and you would file it at that courthouse, too.
