retain driving privelidges

I was stopped for third dwi.. Case is still pending. Just forced to retire from job that required me to drive. Is there anything that can be done to retain some kind of lisence in New york? if not could I go to florida and get one even though i would have to transfer probation

As for your first question, you will probably not be able to get any driving privileges in New York. Even if you can get DMV to issue either a restricted or conditional license depending on the situation, the judge in criminal court will most likely suspend your privileges for a period of time under VTL sect. 510.

To answer your 2nd question, without being able to surrender your New York State license in Florida, they are going to want to know why you don't have your other license to give them and they will inquire with the NYS DMV and they will not issue you a drivers license there nor grant you any privileges.
