Rico law
What is the rico law? Someone says that if a felon is around a gun but not in their possession they will still catch the charge. Is this true?

Re: Rico law
In New York state you can be charged with possession of a firearm under the theory of constructive possession. You do not need to be holding the firearm in order to be charged with possession of a weapon. It may be enough if you exercise control over the area where the firearm was found. There can be a number of viable defenses in cases such as these. Please feel free to contact my office if you require any additional information.
