Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
robbery 1st
I am a 21 yr old male with no prior convictions. I was indicted on a robbery 1st class b felony. I was classified as the getaway driver. Should I have been charged with the same charge as the people that actually robbed the person?

Yes, under NYS law an accomplice may be charges with the same crime as those who actually commit the crime.
Has your case been indicted yet? I would suggest hiring a lawyer ASAP, this is the type of case where it could mean the difference between not only liberty and freedom but also a huge difference in how this case may affect you for the rest of your life.
